Charlotte Broadbent
Data, Communications and Operations Specialist
She/They
I joined the Burlington Community Justice Center in 2024 as the Data, Communications, and Operations Specialist. I studied political philosophy and public administration at Florida International University while working for a municipal government in the Miami metropolitan area.
Following graduation, I dedicated a year to AmeriCorps NCCC as a Field Team Leader, leading teams through disaster recovery projects and community development initiatives in Colorado, Texas, and Arkansas.
After moving to Vermont in 2019, I worked as the Restorative Justice Coordinator and Interim Director at the South Burlington Community Justice Center where I helped to develop the first remote restorative justice volunteer training for the state of Vermont. I've also supported operations at Lund, the Women's Justice and Freedom Initiative, and the Sara Holbrook Community Center. My professional pursuits, which span over a decade of public service between local governments and the nonprofit sector, have been rooted in creating a more just, efficient, and empowered society.
Outside of work, you can find me in a river somewhere when the weather is nice or hiding from the cold with a book and my bug terrarium at home.
